The
more of these weight loss habits or diet tips you can use each day,
the faster you will lose weight. However, you will have a better
chance of "diet success" if you only change 1 or 2 habits
at a time, allowing you to concentrate on them and stick to the
changes you decide might work for you. Remember: If you want something
to change in your life, you have to change some things in your life.
1) The number one most important diet tip - drink
water all day. Keep bottled water or sugar free seltzer with you.
If you actually get thirsty you have already become dehydrated.

really asking us for water.
2) Think of your diet as your hobby. Plan your
shopping trips, meals, exercise, etc...Weight loss doesn't just
happen. We have to make it happen.
3) Instead of eating a large portion of your
favorite meal, promise yourself you will have it again soon, and
mean it.
4) If you find it difficult to exercise regularly,
concentrate on increasing activity. Drive your car part of the
way to work and walk the rest of the way. Take the kids

or the pets, hiking this weekend. Play catch, throw
Frisbees.
5) Post a reminder note of the changes you want
to make, so you will always know your plan of action.
6) Our lives tend to revolve around food. Keep
busy. Take the focus of your life away from food. Roller blade,
play tennis, do housework, walk the dog, etc...
